For this series I have been scanning various objects and foods (usually highly processed and “fast” foods). Although I consider this work to be photography by definition, it diverges technically, aesthetically, and conceptually from typical photographic representation. By using a flatbed scanner rather than a camera (thereby limiting the depth of field to just a few millimeters) I am able to minimize the perceptual distance between subject and object.
Archival inkjet prints of my photographs, S.C.A.N.S. series, and M.A.G.S. series are available. For sales, please inquire using my contact page.
