Out and about in Lauderdale again, this time with a Canon 50mm, a roll of Ektar 100, and the amazing light up here on the hill.  

I’m excited, if a bit daunted, to begin the Loft Mentor Series at the Loft Literary Center in a few weeks. I’ll be working with Loft Mentors along with a group of 11 other writers. Hoping to emerge as an “emerging” author. Should be a great year!

   

I love the (somewhat odd) design elements of this parking lot. I wonder if it means anything…besides being an invitation to street photographers.

This spring has come so slowly. I’d been waiting to take this picture for a whole month, it seemed. Worth the wait, I suppose. But it’s still freezing! Needed a down comforter last night. Beautiful today though.  

Check out Alec Soth’s “Popsicle” concerning photographer Mike Brodie (a.k.a. “The Polaroid Kid”).
